Tasks:

TUV and UL:

• Improve the standards and the testing process
• Promote the standards within IEC and government bodies to improve the awareness of BATSO
• Explain the standards to potential customers
• Offer the tests and take care of customers throughout the whole testing process

ITRI:

• Involved in improving the test standards
• Check the relevance of the tests based on the latest research and state of development on the battery chemistry available
• Run the test laboratory in Hsinchu, Taiwan
• Promote BATSO standard to the international industry

ExtraEnergy:

• Promote BATSO test seal to the 3 target groups: consumer, LEV makers and battery makers
• Host the BATSO.org website and organize BATSO seminars and conferences at many international occasions
• Offer the manufacturers of BATSO awarded battery packs display spots for promoting their battery pack to potential customers (such a display could be located at international trade shows and key events)
• Issue a BATSO certificate after TUV or UL inform ExtraEnergy about a successful test.
• Make the test results available online if the test customer of TUV and UL agree on the full publication
